SASSA SRD R350 Payment Dates for June Confirmed

The South African Social Security Service (SASSA) has finally confirmed payment dates for the new cycle of the special COVID-19 SRD grant.

This comes after SASSA advised old beneficiaries and new applicants in April 2022 to re-apply for the grant to be considered in the new cycle.

The reapplication process came with few changes and requirements being tighter. This includes changes in payment methods.

SASSA R350 Payment Dates for June

SASSA confirmed that payments for the special SRD R350 grant will be paid as from mid-June 2022. This includes all outstanding payments from April 2022.

All outstanding payments from the previous cycle will also be cleared as beneficiaries confirm their banking details.

Note that the payments will not be done at the same time but will be done month by month. To clear the backlog multiple payments may be made in a single month but, this does not mean that beneficiaries will receive double payments in amount.

Once the backlog is cleared, SASSA will resume to its normal payment schedule.

How to Change or Add Banking Details

SASSA encourages beneficiaries to choose the bank as their preferred method of payment. Here is how you can change your details:

  1. Visit the SRD website at
  2. Scroll down to the ‘how to change my bank details’ option
  3. Fill in your ID number, submit
  4. An SMS with a unique link will be sent to your phone
  5. Click on the link
  6. Click on capture your own bank account
  7. Enter your bank name, account type, and account number
